Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coatings
Fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) coating is a powder coating most often used to provide protection to steel pipe, fire hydrants, water valves, turbine pumps, rebar and various sizes of steel fittings. FBE coatings are thermoset polymers by nature. Applying FBE to a heated steel surface causes the coating to melt and flow across the substate and soon becomes a solid coating after being baked in oven at 356°F to 450°F.
We apply Corvel 1660
Corvel 1660 — Specially designed to protect the inside diameter of tubular goods from corrosive conditions such as H2S, CO2, harsh chemicals, brine and saltwater.
The advantages of FBE over conventional liquid coating application are:
-
The ease of application
-
Rapid application
-
Minimal waste of material
-
Shorter cure times, which means faster production rates
We can typically apply FBE coatings to various lengths of pipe, field joints, bends, fabricated spools, valves, pump parts, hydrants and more. Call Allied Powder Coating today to request your quote.
